Montreal, January 28, 2025 – At a time when many organizations are scaling back their commitments to equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI), Plus Company Canada is taking a bold, transparent approach with the release of its first annual EDI report. This comprehensive document underscores the company’s steadfast dedication to fostering a more equitable future for its employees, clients, and communities.
A Vision Rooted in Actionable Values
In 2022, Plus Company conducted a listening tour across its Canadian network, inviting employees to share their perspectives on the organization’s successes and challenges in advancing EDI. The feedback collected shaped the company’s strategic priorities, which now focus on improving BIPOC representation in leadership, equipping managers with effective tools, and fostering a safe, equitable, and empowering workplace for all.
“These principles aren’t just theoretical—they’re the foundation upon which we must build our daily interactions and long-term strategy," says Mélissa Calixte, Senior Director, EDI.
“Together, we are building a legacy of equity, diversity, and inclusion that honours our responsibility to our people, clients and community, while inspiring progress across our industry,” adds Mélanie Dunn, President of Plus Company Canada and CEO of Cossette.
Turning Commitment into Impactful Action
While some organizations are stepping back from EDI, Plus Company remains steadfast in its efforts. This report highlights the company’s achievements over the past three years, its milestones for 2024, and the challenges it is committed to addressing.
Several initiatives stand out for their lasting impact, including:
